King resumes south tour from Aqaba, urges time-frame, tourism action plans
17-Feb-2020
His Majesty King Abdullah II on Sunday resumed his tour of the south, which commenced three weeks ago to focus on local development, improving citizens' standard of living and developing the southern region through supporting tourism and utilizing state-owned land for agriculture and development.
In Aqaba, the King met with the investment and tourism taskforces in the governorate — which include representatives from the public and private sectors and civil society and were formed upon His Majesty’s directives — to follow up on their recommendations and proposals, according to a Royal Court statement.
His Majesty King Abdullah II visited the site of the Royal Aircraft Museum Project to be established in Aqaba as a new and qualitative addition to the tourism product, where the CEO of Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), Mr. Bashar Abu Rumman, showcased the project, noting that ADC has recently released a tender for infrastructure services for the Royal Aircraft Museum, in coordination with the Royal Hashemite Court.
