“Jordan Industrial Ports” - The first Jordanian port achieved ECOPORTS PERS Certification in the Middle East region.

As part of the company's continuous efforts to preserve the environment, JIPC proudly announces that we achieved the- ECOPORTS PERS Certification, which is granted to ports that are committed to an environmental management system in accordance with European standards. The company successfully passed all required tests and the required performance indicators.

According to this certificate, Jordan Industrial Ports was placed on the map of international ports as the first Jordanian port achieving ECOPORTS PERS Certification in the region.
The Chairman of the Board, Eng. Abdel Wahab Al-Rowwad, pointed out that such an achievement reflects the interest of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in global standards for environmental protection in front of international and European ports, raising the potential for improvement the investment environment in the Kingdom.

For his part, the Vice Chairman of the Board, Dr. Maen Al-Nsour, added that JIPC focused on commitment to the highest standards for public safety and environmental protection during development of the terminal. In return this raises the credibility and trust in JIPC on global markets and increases the handling quantities while lowering freight rates. He also commented that the company always seeks to be at the forefront in service level provided to its customers. This has a positive effect on material throughput and increases Jordan’s export capacity.

In turn, the General Manager, Eng. Khaled Shihadeh, confirmed that the outcomes of the investment in the development of the industrial port and the successful partnership with the Grantors, in addition to setting high-quality environmental plans, was crowned by achieving the ECOPORTS PERS Certification which is important locally and regionally.
