Aids to Navigation Project

Aqaba Development Corporation has completed developing the aids to navigations project, which extends along the Jordanian coastline. Whereas CEO of Aqaba Development Corporation, Mr. Hussein Alsafadi, explained that the design and implementation of guiding navigational aids encompass beacons on the shore; moreover, lights on berths and floating nautical lights are sufficient to guide ships in the Gulf of Aqaba, especially in the night movement, which increases the ship's activities and navigation, and raises the operational efficiency at the port.

In addition, the project will contribute to the Jordanian ports to meet the international requirements in terms of visual clarity for the movement path and safe ships berthing.
The project was implemented in two phases: the new port and the entire ports of Aqaba and coastline, with 450,000 JOD as a total cost.
