The Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) is the main development arm for the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ), a liberalized, low-tax, duty-free, multi-sector economic development zone. ADC is a private shareholding company launched by the government of Jordan and Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) to transform ASEZ into a world leading hub for business and leisure. ADC's assets include the ports of Jordan, Aqaba's airport and strategic parcels of land covering most of the 375 km2 Aqaba zone, as well as key utility and infrastructure development / management rights within ASEZ.

The Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) is currently looking for increasing the use of NG through providing the industrial, commercial and domestic with the natural gas (NG) and compressed natural gas (CNG) through construction of a NG City Gate and distribution facilities.

The proposed Construction of CGS CUM Mother Station shall be used to distribute the natural gas to various prospective consumers’ viz. Industrial, Commercial, Domestic and Transportation sectors etc. to Aqaba city, Jordan.

The Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from reputable and qualified firms to build, operate and transfer the Aqaba City Gate Station (CGS) cum Mother Station (the Project) under a 20-year concession period.  

The Project is approximately 20km south of the City of Aqaba in the area of the ASEZ designated Southern Industrial Zone (SIZ). The Project is comprised but not limited to these new build facilities: 1) Pressure Reduction ,2) Metering, 3) DRS, 4) Mother station, 5) Odorization System, 6) Gas Compressor Station, 7) LCV Filling Post for Truck loading, 8) Pipeline and Piping Work and any other required facilities,9) Hiring and operation of CNG Mobile Cascade Trucks, 10) NG distribution network.

Only firms that submit a fully completed EOI Form will receive a formal Request for Qualifications (RFQ). ADC will announce a short list of qualified bidders that may participate in the formal tender process.
