Expanding Aqaba's bulk liquids capacity
The New Oil Terminal project aims to expand Aqaba's oil handling capacity and relieve pressure on existing facilities by supporting current operations while enabling a broader range of liquid commodities, including petroleum products and emerging industrial liquids like ammonia. Utilizing a single large berth located south of the existing oil berth, the terminal leverages Aqaba’s established infrastructure to optimize port operations, support sustainable industrial growth, and ensure Jordan’s long-term competitiveness in energy trade.
ADC will deliver the marine works under an EPC contract, and an operator will equip and operate the terminal under an Equip, Operate and Transfer (EOT) arrangement, with both being procured through parallel tenders.
