The second agreement was signed on behalf of King Hussein International Airport by its General Manager, Dr. Mohammad Sarayrah, and on behalf of Al Ameed Coffee Company by its Managing Partner, Basel Daher.

ADC Chief Executive Officer Hussein Safadi emphasized the importance of the two agreements in strengthening the investment environment within the Aqaba Special Economic Zone. He noted that the establishment of an Al Ameed Coffee Company production facility and the operation of two coffee branches at King Hussein International Airport will add value to Aqaba’s industrial, commercial, and service sectors, while reflecting the diversity of available investment opportunities and the region’s ability to attract leading projects and brands.

Safadi said that ADC continues its efforts to attract high-value investments and strengthen partnerships with the private sector, contributing to the expansion of the productive base, improvement of services, and stimulation of economic activity. He stressed that the integration of industrial and service-sector investments is a key pillar in enhancing Aqaba’s competitiveness and consolidating its position as a regional hub for investment, trade, and services.

He added that ADC places significant emphasis on providing an enabling investment environment that allows investors to establish and expand their businesses and benefit from the infrastructure and economic advantages available in the region. These efforts contribute to creating employment opportunities, generating added economic value, and supporting sustainable development objectives in Aqaba.

National Real Estate Company Jordan Chief Operating Officer Mishal Al-Shiha said that the establishment of an Al Ameed Coffee Company facility at the South Aqaba Investment Complex, one of the company’s projects, represents a significant addition to industrial investment in Aqaba. He added that the project will enhance the utilization of facilities and infrastructure designated for productive and industrial activities, supporting the expansion of the food manufacturing sector and further diversification of industrial investments in the region.

Al-Shiha noted that the new facility will support local production, create employment opportunities, and contribute to economic activity. He commended ADC’s role in enabling investors and attracting high-value investments, adding that the National Real Estate Company Jordan looks forward to attracting further industrial and logistics projects that strengthen Aqaba’s position as a regional investment and business hub.

For his part, Al Ameed Coffee Company Managing Partner Basel Daher highlighted the importance of the two agreements in supporting the company’s plans to expand its industrial and commercial activities. He said the decision to establish a new facility in Aqaba reflects confidence in the region’s investment and economic fundamentals, as well as the opportunities it offers for growth and business development.

Daher added that the new facility is intended to leverage the advantages offered by the Aqaba Special Economic Zone to support export growth, enhance Al Ameed Coffee Company’s competitiveness, and facilitate its expansion into international markets. The partnership is also expected to create approximately 100 job opportunities, reflecting the company’s commitment to supporting employment and empowering local talent.

He explained that the industrial project will strengthen the company’s production capabilities, while operating coffee outlets at King Hussein International Airport will expand the presence of the Al Ameed Coffee Company brand at one of Aqaba’s key facilities linked to tourism and commercial activity, while providing services that meet the needs of passengers and airport visitors.

Daher noted that the two projects represent an important step in strengthening Al Ameed Coffee Company’s presence in Aqaba, expanding its industrial and service activities, and contributing to the local economy while advancing the company’s broader growth strategy.

King Hussein International Airport General Manager Dr. Mohammad Sarayrah said that awarding the tender for the operation of the airport’s coffee branches to Al Ameed Coffee Company forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance commercial services and supporting facilities and raise the standard of services provided to passengers in line with operational requirements and recognized airport quality standards.

Sarayrah explained that the development of commercial facilities is part of ongoing efforts to improve the passenger experience and enhance service efficiency within the airport. He highlighted the importance of attracting established brands and expanding the range of services available to meet the needs of passengers and visitors.

He added that the initiative is aligned with efforts to strengthen the economic and tourism role of King Hussein International Airport and enhance its service readiness, supporting Aqaba’s position as a tourism and investment destination and contributing to the development of services associated with the aviation sector.
