His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II today inspected progress on the International Motor Racing Circuit and Aqaba City Park projects in Aqaba.
During his visits to both sites, the Crown Prince stressed the importance of completing the projects within their set timelines and in accordance with the highest technical and engineering standards.
He emphasised the need to complete both projects during the current summer season, contributing to Aqaba’s position as an integrated tourism and development destination.
During his visit to the racing circuit, the Crown Prince highlighted the importance of selecting an experienced operator for the circuit in line with international best practices, noting the project’s economic significance.
At the City Park project, he stressed the importance of providing high-quality recreational and community spaces and developing a sustainable operation and maintenance plan for the facilities.
The Crown Prince received a briefing from ADC CEO Hussein Safadi on progress and completion rates for both projects, as well as future plans for their operation and management.
Safadi explained that the racing circuit project spans 1,145 dunums and includes a main racing circuit designed for future FIA certification for Formula 3 and higher racing categories, in addition to a training karting circuit, a 90-dunum paddock, and a 1,688-square-metre circuit service building.
The City Park project will include six sports fields with green surfaces, multiple plazas, a 1,700-seat amphitheatre, pedestrian and cycling paths, green spaces, and a range of supporting facilities.
The Crown Prince was accompanied during the visits by Director of the Crown Prince’s Office Dr. Zaid Al Baqaeen.
