Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) and Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to support the educational journey of young orphans in the Aqaba Governorate. Under the agreement, the corporation will cover the educational expenses of 15 young men and women for a period of four years, as part of joint efforts aimed at empowering youth, expanding their educational opportunities, and building a more stable and sustainable professional future.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Khaled Allawi, Chief Institutional Affairs Officer at Aqaba Development Corporation, and Eng. Noor Al-Homoud, Director General of Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans. The step reflects both parties' commitment to investing in human capital and opening educational and vocational pathways for young orphans, thereby enhancing their capacity for independence and self-reliance.
Khaled Allawi, Chief Institutional Affairs Officer at ADC, stated that this collaboration stems from the corporation’s social responsibility toward the local community in the governorate and its belief that true development is incomplete without investing in people and empowering youth to access opportunities that help them build their future.
He emphasized that education represents one of the most critical pillars of empowerment due to its fundamental role in human capital development and in enhancing the ability of youth to actively participate in economic and social growth. He noted that supporting 15 young men and women from Aqaba over four years aligns with the corporation's strategy of launching initiatives with sustainable impact—moving beyond immediate relief to building genuine opportunities for the future.
Allawi added that ADC takes pride in its partnership with Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans, underscoring its commitment to directing its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives toward creating a tangible and lasting impact on the lives of Aqaba's residents through effective partnerships that address the local community's real priorities and needs.
For her part, Eng. Noor Al-Homoud, Director General of Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans, highlighted the importance of the partnership with ADC, noting that it places the education of young orphans and investment in their future at the core of its goals, offering them real, sustainable opportunities to continue learning, growing, and actively contributing to their communities.
Al-Homoud remarked that the impact of this partnership is measured not only by the number of beneficiaries, but also by the broader educational horizons and greater independence it opens up for each young man and woman. She commended ADC's dedication to ensuring that the governorate’s youth directly benefit from these initiatives, thereby amplifying the reach of sustainable development across the local community and the Kingdom as a whole.
This agreement falls within the framework of Aqaba Development Corporation’s commitment to its social responsibility, supporting education, empowering youth, and advancing human capital. It also aligns with Al-Aman Fund's 20-year effort to provide education and vocational training opportunities for young orphans over the age of 18, enabling them to become self-reliant and independent.
Furthermore, the agreement represents an extension of the ongoing collaboration between the two entities, which during 2025 and 2026 included providing scholarships for vocational training and qualification in disciplines aligned with labor market demand.
